Fox North has, historically, served as an industrial centered area for the city. However, the Fox North community will look much different in the near future with vibrant mixed-use residential and commercial redevelopment.
The City of Denver, through years of study and urban planning, has positioned this area to rapidly evolve into a dense and diverse urban environment that is efficiently connected to the best of Denver through the 41st and Fox transit station and quick freeway access.
We’re inviting people to take note of what Fox North can be—a vibrant, diverse, culturally rich community. Come make your mark on Denver!
Just 1 stop (or 5 min) outside of Union Station and trains that run to Arvada, Westminster - Fox North offers existing robust rail connectivity with the future prospect of connecting to Boulder/Longmont. Easy access to I-25 and I-70 connects residents to the mountains and anywhere along the Front Range.
Let’s turn these unused vacant lots back into revitalized parts of our community with urban green space. Industrial applications no longer rule this area, what if we collectively created an urban oasis that redefines this area’s identity? A green oasis, amidst the concrete, adjacent to Downtown Denver. It’s already starting—check out Fox Park and the 14 acres of parks planned in this area.
Healthy communities provide affordable avenues for ALL people to obtain housing. Thriving communities are achieved only through the diversity that exists within them. By abstaining from concentrations of wealth or poverty we can truly create an accessible community for all.
Immigrant families are the backbone of this community – they have lived & worked here since the late 19th century. As Fox North evolves, we must take time to understand & honor where it has come from and bring that cultural legacy forward. Fox North has a culture of diversity that must be maintained.
The Fox North is perfectly and centrally located within the heart of Denver. This community offers convenient access to Union Station and RTD light rail transit system, efficient highway access and close proximity to existing cultural attractions and major employers in the City of Denver.
Denver has experienced decades of sprawl, gentrification and increased traffic. All the while, the Fox North community has remained relatively dormant, consistently of mostly vacant industrial sites – just across the highway from Downtown Denver, LoDo and the RiNo art district.
The potential of Fox North is a generational opportunity. Fox North provides a canvas for the people of Denver to make a community masterpiece. Within this small, central, part of Denver lies the prospect of creating an inclusive, future-oriented neighborhood that can become a healthy and thriving part of Denver.
We’re inviting a variety of people to take note of what Fox North can be, and the ways with which we can get there with support.
We will need to solidify the core team, collectively define the vision of Fox North, and press forward with a more comprehensive plan.
The second phase of this journey will be inviting participation from important stakeholders and other yet to be established figures.
We will move into a shorter phase of refinement. Additions, edits, and/or deletion of concepts and ideas from the original plan can happen here.
Gathering all input, feedback to help produce the final plan that can be shared with the City of Denver, fellow developers, and identified partners.
